Creating art has been an integral part of Bri Traquair’s life from a very young age. Though her earliest works — a guerrilla crayon art series featured on her family’s living room wall — were controversial and received mixed reviews, her later pieces were proudly showcased on her parents’ refrigerator.
These days, she is inspired by artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jin Joo Chae, Alice Neel, Frida Kahlo, and Amy Sherald. While Bri is most experienced with paint on a canvas, she hopes to bring their influence to a digital space for Big Raven Yoga to create colorful, intricate pieces rooted in activism and social justice.
When she’s not working, she can be found tending to her garden of succulents, trying new recipes, or wondering where the heck she left her phone, because she seriously just had it in her hand like, two seconds ago.
