♑ (Head of a goat and tail of a fish)
The tenth astrological sign in the Zodiac, Capricorn is one of the oldest mythological constellations, having been consistently represented as a hybrid of a goat and a fish since at least 2100 BCE. In ancient Sumeria, he was known as Enki, the primordial god of wisdom and waters, and later known as Ea in Akkadian and Babylonian mythology. In Greek mythology, Capricorn represents Pan, the god with a goat’s head, who saved himself from the monster Typhon by giving himself a fish’s tail and diving into a river with Aphrodite and her son Eros (who together became the constellation Pisces).
Capricornians are hard-working and are devoted to achieving their ambitions. They are fearless but also cautious. Finally, they are honest and loyal, always putting family first.
They are persistent in the pursuit of their goals and carefully lay out plans to achieve them. Capricornians are independent and hard workers and are able to achieve great results with minimum effort and expense. They will always put their family’s needs before their own.
Capricornians can be overly harsh and calculating on a bad day. They can also be pessimistic, melancholic, and unable to control their emotions.
Capricornians are very careful with their emotions and won’t throw themselves at just anyone. They are choosy and selective and demand high standards of behavior from their lover. When choosing a partner, they have an unfair reputation for giving status a higher priority than love.
