Salvaged Samples Fabric Book Art Kit

June’s Art Kit of the Month is the perfect way to relax outdoors (or in!) — a book made from salvaged fabric samples that would otherwise have been dumped into Mother Earth. No special binding skills are needed, and the kit literally includes everything necessary to make your own unique, one-of-a-kind art book. Once assembled, it will be ready for embellishing using the included embroidery floss, needles, patterns, and scraps. (Feel free to adorn your pages with additional embellishments, photographs, and other ephemera as well!)

This kit includes:

• Clearly written instructions
• Enough one-of-a-kind fabric samples to make a 32-page book
• 10 skeins of salvaged embroidery floss
• 3 embroidery needles
• Embroidery scissors
• Charcoal marking pencil
• Generous selection of fabric scraps to embellish your book
• Design patterns and templates

You don’t need to supply any additional materials, but the following entirely optional tools might be useful: larger fabric scissors, rotary cutter, self-healing cutting mat, square quilting ruler. (Plus any personal embellishments of your own that you might want to add.)
