♏ (The legs and tail of a scorpion)
The eighth astrological sign in the Zodiac, the constellation Scorpius is first named in ancient Babylonian with symbols that literally translate to “the creature with the burning sting”. In ancient Greek mythology, the stories of Scorpio invariably reference Orion as well: Orion boasted to the goddess Artemis that he would slay every animal on Earth, and while Artemis was a huntress herself, she offered protection to all creatures and sent a giant scorpion to stop him. Scorpio eventually killed Orion, but the battle caught the attention of Zeus, who raised both the scorpion and Orion to heaven as a reminder for mortals to curb their hubris. This is why every winter Orion hunts in the sky, but every summer he flees as the constellation of the scorpion begins to appear.
Scorpios are passionate and possess a strong will, but they remain a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma waiting to be solved. As a result, they are oftentimes misunderstood. They are known for their intense emotions and extreme opinions. Scorpios are brave enough to fight for what’s theirs and protective of what they already have.
They achieve things when they work independently. Scorpios have the skills to lead, but at the same time to follow. They have magnetic personalities that draw people to them. They easily adapt to change and are resilient. They do not stop at mediocrity as they continually transform and reinvent themselves as they strive toward self-improvement.
On the flip side, however, Scorpios can be obsessive and possessive! They are unforgiving of faults in others and when someone wrongs them, they seek revenge. Scorpios are easily moved to fierce anger which often leads to destructive speech or actions. They also have the tendency to discard friends too easily.
Scorpios are extremely jealous partners! They like to have their partner’s attention at all times. Despite their powerful personalities, Scorpios are very passionate. Due to their secretive nature, they like to keep their relationships private. Scorpios’ emotions are deep, intense, and can be difficult for their partners to handle.

Great yoga mats start with great materials, and Big Raven Yoga mats are the highest quality yoga mats in the world. We’ve arrived at what we believe to be the ideal yoga mat.
It’s a well-balanced synthesis of size, weight and cushion made from premium, eco-friendly materials. Our brushed microfiber suede top is a proprietary recycled polyester to help lessen our impact on the environment. By using recycled (and recyclable) materials, we’re reducing our use of energy, water, and greenhouse gases.
In addition, our base is made from biodegradable, recyclable, 100% natural tree rubber which provides both excellent cushion and great traction for wet floors. Our yoga mats are the perfect blend of art and engineering and function as both your yoga towel and your yoga mat.
We only make one yoga mat. Many designs, but only one mat, because it’s the best mat we know how to make.
Our yoga mats are nearly indestructible. No matter what you do to them they’ll continue to look and perform like new for years to come. (We know this from experience. We WANT to treat our yoga mats the way they deserve to be treated, but we never actually do.) Simply hose it down or machine wash on cold in a front-loading washing machine and hang to dry for a long, colorful life.
Our microfiber suede surface provides more grip the wetter it gets, making it the perfect companion for sweatier practices and/or more intensive exercise regimes — you’ll never need a towel over your yoga mat again! It’s thick enough to keep your knees happy but light enough to take with you on the go.
For maximum grip, lightly spray with water before beginning your practice. The more you sweat, the more you’ll grip, and the more stable and balanced you’ll feel. Prefer a dry practice? Simply mist the surface of your mat with a spray bottle to activate the grip.
All of our unique artwork is created in-house by women with a feminist point of view. We don’t purchase designs from stock photo warehouses. You can be sure that every design is unique to us. And you can be sure you’ll have an eye-catching mat like no other!
