This is the 17th in our ongoing series highlighting our happy yogis. This week we’re profiling the incredible Rachel Schromen. Rachel is an impressive individual. She is remarkable at helping people make connections and discover opportunities. She is SO good at connecting people whose lives will be better for having been introduced to one another. She is an incredible listener and generous friend. Every time I talk with Rachel I leave the conversation with a little nugget — some food for thought — that I’m always grateful to have in my pocket. She is helpful, kind, thoughtful, funny and beautiful, both inside and out. It’s an honor to shed a little light on Rachel Schromen who gives so much to so many, myself included. (See also her legal work with the Domestic Abuse Legal Advocacy Center for another example.)

AAt Yoke Fitness in St. Paul
QHow long have you been a yogi?

QDo you have a favorite pose?
QHave you ever had a “yoga moment”, something that happened during practice that you didn’t expect? That made you laugh, brought you joy, made you cry?

QIs there a pose that used to be a “pillar pose” — one that you were working toward — that is now accessible to you?
QWhen you placed your order with Big Raven Yoga, what made you choose Hey There Chickadee?
AIt’s a design that makes me feel happy, light and calm when I am practicing. I love being in Down Dog and looking at the cute little birds!
QDo you have your eyes fixed on any other Big Raven designs? If so, which one(s) and why?
QDo people ask you about your mat?
Thank you, Rachel — we’re so happy to have met you, and thank you for all you do to give back to our community. The world needs more amazing women like you!
