QTell us a little bit about yourself. What do you do off the mat?
AI’m trying new activities all the time! I love to travel. I do so for work, and in my spare time I travel in my little teardrop trailer. I stay healthy through regular yoga, crossfit and meditation. I have proudly been married now for 6 years and have two beautiful, kind, and smart stepdaughters!
QWhat kind of asanas do you practice?
AI stick with the basics and love just going through the Sun Salutations.

QHow long have you been a yogi?
AAbout 15 years.
QWhat role does yoga play in your life?
AIt started off as a way to keep in shape but has really helped with meditation and mental health.
QDo you have a favorite pose?
AShavasana and child’s pose.
QHave you ever had a “yoga moment”, something that happened during practice that you didn’t expect? That made you laugh, brought you joy, made you cry?
AMy yoga studio has a meditation class that ends with laying in the silks, all cocooned up and repeating various mantras. During this time, I always find a sense of peace and contentment. It really refreshes my mind.
QIs there a pose that used to be a “pillar pose” — one that you were working toward — that is now accessible to you?
AMany are still a work in progress!
QWhen you placed your order with Big Raven Yoga, what made you choose I. Love. This. Quote.?
A The quote on the mat really spoke to me. I am working on being more accepting of myself, and what a perfect place to work on that than during yoga! Plus it is just so beautiful, I feel happy every time I practice on it!

AAll the time!
