Pressure

Yoga: Yoga is about as far from competition as you can get. It’s personal, there’s no way you can beat someone else and they can’t beat you.

Gym: It’s hard not to feel the pressure at the gym. There is always someone lifting more or running faster, it’s easy for your ego to get the better of you.

Calms the Mind

Yoga: Yoga will help you focus and reduce stress, you’ll find yourself more at peace with yourself and the universe.

Gym: Going to the gym can be a stressful experience trying to figure out what to do and how to do it, all the while comparing yourself to the people next to you.

Soothes Aches and Pains

Yoga: Yoga helps you stretch out your body and relieve all the wound up tension from the workday.

Gym: Lifting weights and running on the treadmill can put extra strain on your body if practiced in excess or practiced incorrectly.

No Equipment Needed

Yoga: You can do yoga anywhere, all you need is your body! You can buy a mat if you want, but it’s not a requirement.

Gym: To go to the gym and use all their equipment you’ll need a membership which can be costly and impractical.
